Here's a cover of another Sandalwood classic of the 90s: "Ee Bhoomi Bannada Buguri", from the film "Mahakshatriya" (1994). The chorus' lyrics translate t: "This Earth is a colorful spinning top, and God Almighty is the one who spins it. This life is a beautiful city, and you're just a laborer in it. But when this top stops spinning, everyone will exit the same way. Remember, my friend, this lifetime is only for the moment.".

This tune was sung to perfection by the legendary S.P Balasubramanyam, with music and lyrics by the renowned composer Hamsalekha.

On this occasion, we present a rendition of "Sharanu Sakaloddhaara" (ಶರಣು ಸಕಲೋದ್ಧಾರ), a devotional song or devaranaama (ದೇವರನಾಮ) composed by the prolific composer and philosopher-saint from Karnataka, Sri. Purandaradaasa (ಶ್ರೀ ಪುರಂದರದಾಸ). This composition is set to Raag Bhairavi, and sung in Madhyalaya Jhaptaal.

Here, the composer sings the praises of Lord Rama (an avatar of Lord Vishnu), heralding him as the savior of all, the destroyer of demons, and the consort of Sita, highlighting his beauty, divine ornaments, and grace in protecting his loyal devotees. As always with his creations, he signed this composition with the pen name of "Purandara Vitthala" (ಪುರಂದರ ವಿಠ್ಠಲ) - with "Vitthala" being another name of Lord Vishnu.

He could sing it all, no matter the emotion behind a tune: playful, romantic, sad, you name it. And this evergreen, classic song of his is testament to his everlasting legacy.

This song is dedicated to a man who showered everyone with such unconditional, everlasting love and affection throughout his life: Dr. Mohan B. Sharma, my father-in-law. Three weeks ago, he passed away suddenly and unexpectedly, and it was truly a shock - and an irreplaceable loss - for all of us. Appa/Maava was truly one in a million - always ready to help out anyone in their time of need, and never stray away from being generous and kind to them. He was enthusiastic about the many things in life: reading, traveling, gardening/farming, sports, music - the list is endless. We miss him very much - but his love, invaluable life lessons and mile-wide smiles will be with us every step of the way.

Here's a cover of the timeless tune (and Appa's/Maava's all-time-favorite song) "Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna", from the movie "Kudrat" (1981): with music by the legendary composer R.D. Burman and lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri.

To Appa/Maava: we love you so much, and always will. ❤️</video:description><video:content_loc>https://peertube-xn--6sclm5c-net.s3.us-west-002.backblazeb2.com/streaming-playlists/hls/9f20bab2-e148-4978-9ed4-42a712fb978a/8ae741c9-f34b-4b59-91b6-be998b822524-master.m3u8</video:content_loc><video:player_loc>https://xn--6sclm5c.net/videos/embed/kDFSTfFgiB7eMt6yW8vMFG</video:player_loc><video:duration>267</video:duration><video:rating>0</video:rating><video:view_count>0</video:view_count><video:publication_date>2026-04-25T04:57:32.475Z</video:publication_date><video:tag>Hindi</video:tag><video:family_friendly>YES</video:family_friendly><video:uploader info="https://xn--6sclm5c.net/c/milana/videos">ಮಿಲನ</video:uploader><video:live>NO</video:live></video:video></url><url><loc>https://xn--6sclm5c.net/c/milana/videos</loc></url><url><loc>https://xn--6sclm5c.net/a/main/video-channels</loc></url></urlset>
